Jamie NelsonMaren Morris is setting out to prove that girls rule the globe this year, as she kicks off her Girl: The World Tour.
The tour, which will take Maren to more than 40 U.S. and international tour stops, kicks off March 9 in Chicago, IL. Cassadee Pope and RaeLynn will switch off as opening acts. Tickets go on sale to the general public January 22 at 10 a.m. local time.
Maren’s new single “Girl” gets its official release later today, when it premieres across the nation’s country radio stations at 5 p.m. ET. Following the song’s first play, it’ll be made available to stream and download.
Maren’s fan club pre-sales for all the dates will start at 10 a.m. local time on Friday, January 18. Citi card members will also be able to purchase tickets starting on Friday.
Prior to the tour kickoff, Maren will perform February 1 in Riviera Maya, Mexico, as part of singer/songwriter Brandi Carlile’s Girls Just Wanna Weekend. And on February 15, she’ll be in the Cayman Islands as part of the KAABOO Festival lineup.
The tour will encompass North America, Europe and Australia and New Zealand, as well as a number of major festivals. It wraps up Down Under in August.
