CMAThomas Rhett, Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard, and Luke Combs have all managed to score a Triple Play in the last twelve months.
Every year, the Country Music Association presents the Triple Play Award to songwriters who’ve managed to pen three #1 hits over the course of a twelve-month period.
“Unforgettable,” “Marry Me,” and “Life Changes,” are TR’s latest chart toppers, while Tyler wrote FGL’s “Meant to Be” and “Simple,” as well as Jason Aldean’s “You Make It Easy.”
Luke, meanwhile, composed his hits “Hurricane,” “When It Rains It Pours,” and “One Number Away.” He’ll also play a special edition of the CMA Songwriters Series on Tuesday, February 19 at Nashville’s Marathon Music Works.
Fellow honorees Nicolle Galyon, Ashley Gorley, Josh Kear, Chase McGill, and Josh Osborne will join him. They’ll be celebrated, along with songwriters Jesse Frasure and Shane McAnally, at a luncheon that same day.
Tickets to the February 19 show are available now at CMASongwritersSeries.com.
