Chris Janson will be dropping some “Good Vibes” next week, ahead of his third album this fall

ABC/Image Group LAChris Janson previewed his forthcoming third album for a lucky group of Nashville insiders Tuesday evening, holding an informal chat session at his favorite restaurant, Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse.

After explaining how the new project came together organically — because he wasn’t really intending on making an album at that point — he played several tracks: the uptempo “Check,” “Waiting on Five,” and the autobiographical, rap-influenced “Say About Me.”

The Missouri native also debuted the recorded version of his new single, “Good Vibes,” which comes out Friday, February 8, before picking up his guitar to play it live.

Chris unveiled the emotional “Hawaii on Me” as well, a song he wrote with his wife KellyTim McGraw actually recorded their tune, but ended up not putting it on his record. Chris joked that he was glad, because now he can put it on his.

The “Drunk Girl” hitmaker continued tugging at the crowd’s heartstrings with another new song with the refrain, “Good dogs die/Daddies get old.”

Though Chris still hasn’t settled on a title or a definite track listing, he expects his new album will be out in the fall. Guests left with a new signature Chris Janson Hohner harmonica, a result of his new endorsement deal with the respected brand.
