For LOCASH, Super Bowl LIII “Feels Like a Party” with the Patriots

ABC/Image Group LAWhen it comes to this weekend’s Super Bowl, LOCASH is likely the most connected act in all of country music. That’s partly because they spent much of this season playing football games on the Pepsi Tailgate Tour, and also due to the fact that they’ve built a strong bond with the New England Patriots.

So when the Patriots take on the Rams Sunday in Atlanta, you can bet Preston Brust and Chris Lucaswill be pulling for the Pats.

“They called us to do the pre-game and the tailgate party for them,” Chris explains. “And then obviously, if they win, we’ll probably do the after-party too.”

“It’s pretty cool to be involved with Pepsi and the NFL,” he continues, “and… this year, the NFL treated us great. Pepsi treated us amazing… We saw eleven different [football] organizations and every single one of ’em was amazing… New England was probably one of the most professional.”

When Chris and Preston play for the team this weekend, they’ll even be sporting some fancy footwear given to them by the Patriots’ CEO.

Robert Kraft has these customized one-of-a-kind Air Force 1s,” Preston points out.

“Nikes,” Chris adds.

“They’re really cool, and they gave ’em to us as a gift,” Preston continues, “and I kinda put ’em on a shelf and I wasn’t ever gonna wear ’em.”

“But then when the Patriots made the Super Bowl, I put ’em on and we sent [a video] to the organization,” he recalls. “I was dancing in the shoes… It was pretty fun. They loved it. So, we’re gonna wear our shoes for the show and the Super Bowl.”

One song LOCASH is certain to play this weekend is their latest top thirty hit, “Feels Like a Party.”
