Monty Brinton/CBSA coveted performance spot on the Grammys almost always equals an impressive gain in sales, and the 2019 show was certainly no exception.
The tunes performed on Sunday’s telecast experienced a collective 480% boost in digital downloads, according to Nielsen Music, with Kacey Musgraves and Dolly Parton benefiting from the bump.
Kacey’s new single, “Rainbow,” was downloaded four thousand times on the day of the show: an increase of nearly 9500%, according to Billboard. Sales of her Grammy-winning Album of the Year Golden Hour rose 597% as well, after selling more than three thousand copies.
Dolly’s five-song medley that included Kacey, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Maren Morris, and Little Big Town also led to a 718% surge in the sales of Dolly’s originals.
“Here You Come Again,” “Jolene,” “9 to 5,” “Red Shoes” from Dumplin’, and the Trio II version of “After the Gold Rush” collectively sold six thousand downloads on Grammy day.
