Luke Bryan plans a romantic Valentine’s Day in L.A., even though he’ll be shooting “American Idol”

ABC/Image Group LAWednesday night, Luke Bryan surprised his label mate and future tour mate Jon Langston by appearing during a special pop-up show at his 32 Bridge Food + Drink on Lower Broadway in Nashville.  But on Thursday, the Georgia-born hitmaker was due back on the set of American Idol in Los Angeles.  And that’s making Valentine’s Day a little tricky for him.

“For Valentine’s Day this year, I’m working every day around Valentine’s, but I’m doing Idol,” Luke explained. “Actually, Idol is filming on Valentine’s Day. So I have approached Caroline about maybe flying out to L.A.”

Caroline, of course, is Luke’s wife.  Even though his schedule is jam-packed, Luke’s determined to make the best of it with her.

“I think we’re gonna have a short taping day at Idol, so maybe we can have a Valentine’s dinner in maybe one of her favorite restaurants in Los Angeles. So I’ll try to make it somewhat romantic,” he jokes.

Luke’s latest hit, “What Makes You Country,” is currently in the top five.

You can tune in to see Luke’s Valentine’s Day work starting Sunday, March 3, when the second season of American Idol premieres at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
