Cliff Lipson/CBSIf you enjoy a little “Oklahoma Swing” — like Reba McEntire’s 1990 hit with Vince Gill, for example — you’re going to love the latest track from her Stronger Than the Truth album.
It’s one of the rare songs Reba co-wrote herself, with the help of another famous friend: Ronnie Dunn. They crafted “No U in Oklahoma” based on an idea the tune’s third writer, Donna McSpadden, suggested to Reba years ago: “There’s no U in Oklahoma, and that’s O.K. with me.”
You can watch the song come to life in the studio in a new behind-the-scenes video on YouTube. “No U in Oklahoma” is available to stream or download now as well.
Reba’s new record, Stronger Than the Truth, comes out April 5, just two days before she hosts the 54th ACM Awards on CBS.
