ABC/Image Group LAFor the inspiration behind his latest top-20 hit, Kane Brown admits he didn’t have to look far. It’s about his bride, Katelyn Jae.
“The story behind ‘Good as You’ is basically just writing about my wife,” he tells ABC Radio, “and just how sweet she is, and the little things she does to make people feel special.”
“She never wants anybody mad at her,” Kane adds. “You know, she just always does the little things, so I just want to be as good as she is.”
For the “Good as You” video, Kane and Katelyn simply shot the October ceremony at Mint Springs Farm in Franklin, Tennessee where they tied the knot.
“It was a way that fans could see our wedding,” Kane explains, “and it was also just a way to have our own wedding video that’s a little unique.”
Kane’s currently on his Live Forever headlining tour through March 8. In May, he hits the road with Jason Aldean and Carly Pearce on the Ride All Night trek.
