ABC/Randy HolmesThe much-anticipated new record from Jake Owen will arrive in about a month, the Florida native announced Thursday morning on Instagram.
Jake unveiled the news by posting nine photos that, together, form what’s likely the album cover. It’s a retro postcard of a palm tree on a beach with large letters superimposed over it. It’s reminiscent of the cover of Bruce Springsteen‘s debut album, Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J.
Jake’s Insta bio now reads “Greetings from Jake… new album out 3.29.19.”
The square, album-shaped photo actually reads “Greetings from… Jake Owen,” but it’s not clear if that’s the album title.
Inside each letter of Jake’s name is another drawing, including one that’s a picture of him, as well as one that says “Honky Tonk.”
Since Jake’s top ten, ACM-nominated current hit is “Down to the Honky Tonk,” the smaller pics may be clues to the songs on the album. Others include a peach, a pickup truck, a lady in a red dress, a mountain scene, and a sailboat.
This will be Jake’s first album for Big Loud, the label he signed with since leaving his longtime home at RCA.
“I Was Jack (You Were Diane)” became the fastest-rising #1 of Jake’s career back in July. He’s also released the tracks “Catch a Cold One,” “Made for You,” and “Something to Ride On.”
