Country Music Hall of Fame and MuseumBrooks & Dunn and the late Keith Whitley may not be official members of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum just yet, but they’ll be honored there later this year just the same.
An exhibit paying tribute to Whitley, known for songs like “When You Say Nothing at All” and “Don’t Close Your Eyes,” will open at the Hall on May 3.
A Brooks & Dunn installation will follow on August 9.
“It’s so cool to have an exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum,” Ronnie Dunn says. “When you’re reminded that what you have created is part of history like that, it’s beyond humbling. I’m so, so proud.”
“Ronnie and I are really fired up about having an exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum,” Kix Brooks adds. “We’ve shared some of our favorite things with the museum over the years, and it’s going to be really special for us to revisit those moments from our career, especially in a format like the Hall, that reaches all generations of fans.”
Recent Grammy winner Kacey Musgraves will also be featured in an exhibit that opens July 3.
Hall of Famers Felice and Boudleaux Bryant will be the subject of another display coming October 4. The late songwriters are known for classics like “Love Hurts” and “Rocky Top,” as well as Everly Brothers’ hits like “Bye, Bye Love” and “Wake Up, Little Susie.”
First up, American Currents: The Music of 2018, a look back at last year, opens at the Hall this Friday.
