ABC/Image Group LAReba McEntire’s set to host the ACM Awards April 7 on CBS, but even before that, she’ll help the CMA reveal this year’s inductees into the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
Reba will lead the annual unveiling of the honorees on Monday, March 18 at 10 a.m. CT in the Hall’s rotunda. It’s an invitation-only event, but there’s typically a livestream so you can watch at home.
Each year, two artists join the Hall’s ranks: one from the Veterans Era, and another from the Modern Era.
A third inductee is chosen from a rotating category of non-artists: This year, it’ll be someone from the business side of the music industry. The honorees are elected by an anonymous panel chosen by the CMA.
Though the new inductees are kept top-secret, there’s a growing list of notable performers who seem like good candidates for the honor, including Keith Whitley, Brooks & Dunn, Clint Black, The Judds, Crystal Gayle and the Gatlin Brothers, just to name a few.
Ricky Skaggs, Dottie West, and musician Johnny Gimble were the Hall’s 2018 inductees.
The new members will officially join the Hall during the Medallion Ceremony in the fall.
