ABC/Image Group LALast October’s American Music Awards were a night Kane Brown won’t soon forget. The first-time winner took home trophies for Favorite Male Country Artist, Favorite Album for his self-titled debut, and Favorite Song, for “Heaven.”
Now, fans can experience a piece of that night for themselves, as the purple and black coat Kane wore goes on display at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. It’s part of the American Currents: The Music of 2018 exhibit, which officially opens today.
“It’s an Amiri jacket,” Kane points out, “which is awesome, because I just started wearing it this year. It’s like my favorite brand of clothes.”
“I think it’s just awesome to be a part of something in Nashville, especially the Country Music Hall of Fame,” he adds. “And it’s cool to see that jacket in there. So, I’m just excited.”
Luckily, Kane won’t have to do without one of his favorite pieces of clothing.
“Amiri was so grateful that it was in here,” he explains, “he just sent me another one.”
American Currents: The Music of 2018 runs through February 9, 2020.
