ABC/Image Group LAKenny Chesney launched his Songs For the Saints Tour in Louisville, Kentucky last night.
The country superstar played to a crowd of more than 16,000 people at the KFC Yum! Center, powering through a 23-song set featuring such hits as “I Go Back,” “Living in Fast Forward,” “When the Sun Goes Down” and “Beer in Mexico.”
“Louisville, Kentucky, you guys are setting a standard for all the shows this year!” he told the crowd.
Prior to the show, Chesney’s production team adjusted the venue to allow for an additional 1,000 seats, in order to accommodate the demand for tickets.
The tour is named after Chesney’s most recent album, which reached #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart in 2018. He donated a portion of the album sales to Hurricane Irma relief efforts. It featured the hit single “Get Along.”
Chesney will visit 18 cities on the tour, which continues through May 25.
