ABC/Mark LevineCarrie Underwood kicked off her Cry Pretty 360 Tour Wednesday night with a sold-out show in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Carrie’s two-hour set included tracks from the Cry Pretty album, as well as new arrangements and mash-ups of hits from her 14-year career. At each tour stop, a contest winner also gets the chance to join Carrie onstage to do the rap from “The Champion.”
Openers Maddie & Tae and Runaway June returned to the in-the-round stage during Carrie’s set to do a special tribute to some of country’s best-loved female artists.
The tour continues Friday night in Birmingham, Alabama.
Wednesday night, Carrie also picked up the Top Country Female trophy at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas.
