ABC/Image Group LALuke Combs and his fiancée Nicole Hocking are expanding their family. No, they’re not having a baby — but they’ve just adopted a shelter dog named JoJo.
Luke and Nicole discovered JoJo through Nashville’s Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue, a cause Dan + Shay’s Dan Smyers and his wife Abby also frequently support.
“We are SO happy for little JoJo who went home [Wednesday] with Luke Combs and his fiancée Nicole,” the nonprofit tweeted, along with photos of the couple with their new pup, adding “JoJo looked him deep in the eyes as if to say, ‘Where have you been all my life?’”
The next part of the tweet makes it sound like JoJo may have a future on the road: “Can’t wait to see his pictures on the tour bus!”
The same day Luke was adopting his new road buddy, he also won Top Country Artist, Top Country Album, and Top Country Male Artist at the Billboard Music Awards.
Next Wednesday, the lead single from Luke’s forthcoming sophomore album arrives. Just like his tour, it’s called “Beer Never Broke My Heart.”
