Black River Entertainment(NOTE LANGUAGE) Kelsea Ballerini has once again found herself at the top of the country charts.
The singer has scored her fifth number one single with “Miss Me More,” making her the first female artist in 15 months to reach the coveted slot. Coincidentally, the woman who did it 15 months ago was Kelsea herself, when “Legends” hit the top spot in February 2018.
“Whether it’s a partner, friend, colleague, situation, or chapter of life, sometimes we lose a piece of ourselves to someone. This song is all about choosing to spend our energy in a way that lets us be the best version of ourselves for the right people – when they come along,” Kelsea says.
“I’m so proud that this song and message got the megaphone of Country radio. Thank you so much for this No. 1!”
Kelsea tweeted that she was marking the success of the song by “pedal taverning around Nashville with my best friends all in red lipstick celebrating ‘Miss Me More’ and LIVING MY BEST LIFE.”
“Miss Me More” is the third single from her sophomore album Unapologetically. Kelsea’s other number ones, in addition to “Legends,” are “Love Me Like You Mean It,” “Dibs” and “Peter Pan.”
Maren Morris saluted Kelsea on Twitter, writing, “Every artist who has had success at country radio has 1 thing in common: they hustled their a** off to get it there. Radio tour, free shows, M&G giveaways, radio remotes. It’s more than a great song… it’s hard work. @KelseaBallerini, you EARNED DAT S**T. So proud of you.”
