Jelly Roll performed “Liar” and “I Am Not Okay” at Thursday’s 2024 Billboard Music Awards.
“I see people crying and I see strangers wrapping their arms around them and spreading love all through the building. I can feel the pain and I can feel the healing happening,” Jelly told the crowd ahead of performing “Liar.”
“I knew after the first time I did this song, that whatever I said after this emotional moment would be important. So listen close, y’all: the devil is a liar! The devil is a liar!” he added before going straight into the opening verse of “Liar.”
Jelly’s performance of “I Am Not Okay” opened with him mingling with his fans out in the crowd and giving his wife, Bunnie XO, a kiss before he stepped onstage to deliver his latest #1 hit.
Jelly and rock band Falling In Reverse won Top Hard Rock Song for their collab, “All My Life.”
“Liar” is Jelly’s current single, and it’s in the top 20 and ascending the country charts.
