USDA: 2018 cash cattle, hogs worth $88 billion

The USDA says cash receipts from meat animals in 2018 totaled $88.203 billion, a slight increase from 2017. Cattle and calves accounted for 76% of the total, with hogs and pigs making up the remaining 24%.
