ABC/Image Group LAFor “I Met a Girl” hitmaker William Michael Morgan, this year’s holidays will be unforgettable. They’re his first with his daughter Presley, who was born in March.
“Man, I’m so excited,” he says. “She just turned seven months. I’m so excited to start getting her into my family’s traditions… It’s very family-oriented for us, for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter… We always try to get together, the whole family — grandmas, grandpas and everything in between.”
For Thanksgiving, the Vicksburg, Mississippi native admits there’ll be as much down-home southern cooking as you might expect.
“Man, there’s a table long… I tell you it’s long as a limousine! Well, we’ve always got the butter beans, always got the black-eyed peas, always got of course the turkeys and the chickens and the hams. I’m really looking forward to the pies — the sweet potato pies and the pumpkin pies and the pecan pies, all that stuff, man. So I’m gonna gain probably about 25 pounds this winter!” he laughs.
William Michael just released the second single from his debut album Vinyl, titled “Missing.”
