A Mitchell man is facing several charges after Police arrested him shortly after eleven Sunday morning in the 400 block of North Rowley.
Officer Paul Wilson responded to a report of a man wearing a gray tank-top and blue shorts apparently entering vehicles in the 300 block of North Rowley. He spotted a man matching the description in the 400 block. Wilson says the man’s shorts were sagging under the weight of items in the pockets and stopped him. “I was able to recover all the items, “ said Wilson. “I was not able to figure out all the victims.” Wilson also found methamphetamine an drug paraphernalia the suspect tried to get rid of.
He says the suspect, later identified as Larry Abdo of Mitchell, was initially uncooperative and eventually hand-cuffed and taken to the Davison County Jail.
Wilson says he’s charged with possession of Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, plus criminal entry of a motor vehicle and petty theft.
Wilson says the vehicles involved were apparently left unlocked and some of the items taken included cash, gift cards, and debit cards. He says some of the victims are probably unaware of the thefts.
