Music City Skate Jam: Kip Moore and Tony Hawk come together for a mashup of skateboarding and country music

The GreenRoomKip Moore is teaming up with arguably the most famous skateboarder in the world, Tony Hawk, to put on the Music City Skate Jam next month in Nashville.

The September 10 event will take place in Walk of Fame Park across from the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. It’ll combine performances by Kip, newcomer Jordan Davis, and Dee Jay Silver with a skateboarding demo by Hawk.

“I think what’s always driven me at my core, throughout my career, was to one day have the capability to make a major impact in inner cities around the country,” Kip says. In the past few years, the Georgia native has built five skateparks around the country, through his foundation, Kip’s Kids Fund.

“I was never a true skater,” he explains, “but always admired the brotherhood of the skating community. Having a chance to team up with a guy like Tony, who’s so respected for all he does, is beyond what I could’ve imagined. I’m super stoked to combine what we do, as we both share similar visions.”

Proceeds from the Music City Skate Jam will go to both Kip and Tony’s charitable efforts. Tickets are on sale now at KipMoore.net.
