Garth Brooks, Vince Gill & Amy Grant and more remember Dan Fogelberg on new tribute album

BMGDan Fogelberg may never have had a huge country hit, but some of the biggest names in the genre are paying tribute to the folk/rock pioneer on a new album.

Garth Brooks, Zac Brown, Amy Grant and Vince Gill, Alabama’s Randy Owen, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Jimmy Buffett and The Eagles all contribute cuts to A Tribute to Dan Fogelberg, which comes out November 17.

Vince and Amy duet on the 1979 classic “Longer,” while Zac Brown covers one of Dan’s signature songs, “The Leader of the Band.” Michael McDonald, Train and the late Donna Summer also contribute cuts to the 14-track collection.

Fogelberg died of prostate cancer in 2007, at the age of 56.
