Jason Aldean returns to Las Vegas to visit shooting victims

ABC/Image Group LA Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany were back in Las Vegas on Sunday, a week to the day after the shooting during his performance at the Route 91 Harvest Festival that left 58 dead and nearly 500 injured.  The couple apparently were in town to meet with victims.

Brittany posted an image to Instagram of herself and Jason on the tarmac of the airport near the festival site.  The Mandalay Bay hotel — from which the shooter took aim at concertgoers — is visible over their heads in the distance.

“Feels surreal being back in Vegas today. Visiting some of the strongest people we have ever met… fighting the toughest battle of them all… for their lives. You have helped us try to begin the healing process by seeing the strength each one of you have. Thank you for today. We will never forget. #vegasstrong,” Brittany wrote.

University Medical Center Hospital, Nevada’s only Level I Trauma Center, which treated many of the victims, tweeted a picture of Jason outside the hospital. “Thank you to Country Music Star @Jason_Aldean for visiting today. His visit helped cheer those who were wounded in this tragedy,” the hospital wrote.
