ABC/Image Group LAChris Young recently notched his tenth career number-one hit with “Losing Sleep,” which is why he wanted to do something special to celebrate. Tuesday night, during Sony Music Nashville’s CRS showcase at the CMA Hall of Fame Theater in Nashville, he revealed some major charitable plans.
“One of the things that I did when I first got started was I looked for a charity that I loved,” he told the audience. “Once I got signed, I realized that a big part of country music and country radio, one of the charities that you lift up, was the same one: St. Jude.”
He added, “The fact that this is my tenth #1, on behalf of country radio I’m going to donate $10,000 to St. Jude.”
“Losing Sleep” is Chris’ fourth consecutive #1 single and the title track of his latest album.
