ABC/Mark LevineOn Wednesday, Maren Morris marked her first #1 as a solo artist with a celebration at The Crying Wolf in East Nashville. Just a couple days before the party for “I Could Use a Love Song,” Maren was the guest of honor at another rite of passage: her bachelorette party leading up to her wedding with singer/songwriter Ryan Hurd.
Since she travels so much, Maren says her only request was that she be able to stay in for the get-together that included fellow artists and friends like Cassadee Pope and Lucie Silvas. In the end, Maren confesses there were some moments straight out of Dirty Dancing.
“It just turned into the most like amazingly cliched girl night, of just dancing to ‘[I’ve Had the] Time of My Life’ — attempting the Patrick Swayze lift — and Celine Dion,” Maren laughs. “Yeah, ‘The Power of Love!'”
You can check out exactly what Maren means thanks to a short video she posted on her socials.
“It was perfect, and we all woke up [Tuesday] feeling a little less than our best,” Maren admits, “but it was so worth it!”
The “My Church” hitmaker also had another bachelorette party with her friends in her native Texas over the Christmas holidays. She and Ryan are set to tie the knot March 24.
