Allendale lowers corn, soybean estimates

Allendale Inc. has lowered its projections for 2018 corn and soybean production. The firm sees corn at 14.602 billion bushels and soybeans at 4.576 billion, with fractionally lower average yield estimates cancelling out higher acreage totals. Allendale has the average yields at 178.5 and 51.7 bushels per acre, respectively, both down 0.4 from prior projections. …
