Strong storms slam Springfield

Overnight storms destroyed four homes, damaged buildings, downed trees and caused minor injuries in Springfield. The Bon Homme County Emergency Management Office says dozens of homes were damaged and several destroyed. National Weather Service meteorologist Todd Heitkamp says the damage was caused by winds between 100 mph and 110 mph. About 300 volunteers are assisting. …
